Carrick Community Transport

For five decades, Carrick Community Transport has been helping people across Girvan and the wider Carrick area get where they need to go — making sure that living in a rural area doesn't mean missing out.

Volunteer-led and community-focused, Carrick Community Transport provides affordable minibus hire to local charities, schools, voluntary organisations and community groups.

Whether it's taking young people to an activity, helping older residents enjoy a day out, getting groups to community events or making it easier to access appointments and opportunities, their minibuses help tackle one of the biggest challenges facing rural communities: transport.

Carrick Community Transport helps people stay active, connected and involved while tackling rural isolation and there's exciting news for the future too! In the coming months they will be adding another newer bus thanks to their amazing funders .

The service is available to member organisations, with volunteer drivers completing a short vehicle induction before using the minibuses.

After five decades of supporting the community, Carrick Community Transport continues to prove that sometimes, getting people moving means getting the whole community moving.
