Celebrating a Local Hero: Tricia Watts
The Girvan community gathered today at Duff Street Kitchen to celebrate the incredible contribution of Tricia Watts, whose dedication and passion have helped shape our town and surrounding villages for many years.
Tricia has been a driving force behind numerous community groups and local initiatives, generously giving her time, energy and enthusiasm to projects that have made a real difference to people's lives.
As one of the founding members of Girvan Town Team, Tricia has played an instrumental role in helping the organisation grow and thrive. She also served as a Trustee for many years, providing guidance, support and an unwavering commitment to improving our community.
Lee Wilson, Chair and Trustee of Girvan Town Team, paid tribute to Tricia's remarkable contribution:
"Tricia has made a remarkable contribution to the Town Team, always committed to the wellbeing of our community. She is quite simply irreplaceable."
Later this year, Tricia will be leaving Girvan to begin an exciting new chapter in the North of England.
While we are naturally sad to see her go, we are incredibly grateful for everything she has done for Girvan. Her legacy will live on through the projects she helped create, the organisations she supported, and the many people whose lives she has touched along the way.
On behalf of everyone at Girvan Town Team, we would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Tricia for her years of service, friendship and dedication.
We wish her every success, happiness and good health in the years ahead. Once part of the Girvan community, always part of the Girvan community.
Thank you, Tricia—you will always be part of our story.
