Supporting Girvan’s Folk Festival – Looking Ahead to 2026
Girvan Town Team is once again delighted to support the Girvan Traditional Folk Festival, one of Scotland’s longest-running celebrations of traditional music, with a £250 grant delivered in partnership with the National Lottery Community Fund.

Building on a Local Legacy
Following the success of the 50th anniversary celebrations earlier this year, which drew sell-out audiences and glowing feedback, this latest funding will help the organisers continue to raise the Festival’s profile across the town in the run-up to its 51st edition in spring 2026.
The grant will contribute towards new festival signage, including a large printed mesh banner for Stumpy Corner and two outdoor PVC banners for display at the Wee School Art Space and Girvan Harbour. Designed and printed in South Ayrshire, these banners will ensure the Festival remains a vibrant and visible part of Girvan’s cultural landscape.

Supporting Local, Strengthening Community
By working with trusted Ayrshire-based suppliers, the Festival continues to reflect the Town Team’s shared values of community wealth building and local collaboration — helping to keep investment within the region while celebrating Girvan’s creative and cultural identity.

Looking to the Future
As the Festival prepares to mark its 51st year, these improvements will help strengthen its presence, attract visitors, and showcase Girvan as a proud hub of traditional music and warm hospitality.
Girvan Town Team is delighted to once again play a small part in supporting this much-loved local event.
